Sonny’s Story
With an affinity for old things and a love of adventure and photography, our family acquired Sonny with the idea of bringing these passions together and sharing this cozy time capsule with the world.
Sonny was entirely original when we brought her home. We don’t know a lot about her past other than she lived the first half of her life in northern Colorado and was a beloved family camper for many years.
Ah, the good old days!
In restoring Sonny, our first priority was making sure this 50-year-old camper was safe, solid and shined as bright as she did in her glory days.
Most of the work done was “under the hood” so to speak – repairing her old bones, pipes and parts. Inside, we worked hard to maintain her 1970s magic, so nearly all of the interior you see is original. (With the exception of the refrigerator… sadly the old one couldn’t be saved, but we can all agree that cold beer is very important.) The décor is almost entirely thrifted vintage pieces to maintain an authentic 70s aesthetic.
And just 47 short years later,
Our photo studio-slash-retro adventure mobile-slash-event space was born. We’ve made some fun memories with this ‘ol gal and are excited to see where she can take you too!
